Livestock is very important to a self sustainable lifestyle. At this time on our farm we have rabbits, goats and chickens and ducks.  Everything has multiple functions, we try to keep in mind when we add something new to the farm that it should have at least 3 uses.   We not only collect eggs from the chickens and milk from the goats but we also use their manure to make fertilizer, we feed the weeds to the chickens, the produce that has bug damage goes to the rabbits and chickens. The ducks have been used for pest control to help with the slug population and we also have duck eggs.    Incorporating animals on the farm provides more products as we become self-sustainable.
